Hexagram #25
Wu Wang · 无妄
乾 above · 震 below
Judgment (卦辞)
Innocence. Supreme success. Perseverance furthers. If someone is not as he should be, he has misfortune in doing what is right. Innocence means acting without ulterior motive — pure and spontaneous. When action springs from truth, success follows naturally.
无妄:元亨利贞。其匪正有眚,不利有攸往。
Image (象辞)
Under heaven thunder moves — the image of Innocence. Thus the kings of antiquity enriched the regions and made full use of the seasons, thereby increasing the yield. Thunder under heaven stirs all beings to their natural course — each responds according to its nature.
天下雷行,物与无妄;先王以茂对时,育万物。
