The Abysmal repeated. If you are sincere, you have success in your heart, and whatever you do succeeds. Through repetition of danger, one becomes familiar with it, and fear loses its power. Sincerity and inner truth are the means to navigate repeated peril.

坎：习坎，有孚，维心亨，行有尚。

Image (象辞)

Water flows on uninterruptedly — the image of the Abysmal repeated. Thus the superior man walks in lasting virtue and carries on the task of teaching. Water persistently flowing teaches that danger can be endured through continuous, steadfast effort.

水洊至，习坎；君子以常德行，习教事。
