The Gentle. Success through what is small. It furthers one to have somewhere to go. It furthers one to see the great man. Gentleness means penetration — like wind entering every crevice, influence works subtly and persistently. Small efforts gradually achieve significant results.

巽：小亨，利有攸往，利见大人。

Image (象辞)

Wind following upon wind — the image of the Gentle Penetrating. Thus the superior man spreads his commands and carries out his works. Repeated wind demonstrates persistent influence; commands and actions must be consistent and penetrating.

随风，巽；君子以申命行事。
