Judgment (卦辞)

Return. Success. Going out and coming in without error. Friends will come without blame. Return means the turning point — after decline, the light begins to rise again. Seven days mark the cycle of return. This is a time of new beginnings.

复：亨。出入无疾，朋来无咎。反复其道，七日来复。利有攸往。

Image (象辞)

Thunder in the middle of the earth — the image of Return. Thus the kings of antiquity closed the passes on the day of return, so that merchants could not travel and the ruler did not inspect the regions. Thunder stirring beneath the earth signals the first pulse of renewal after winter.

雷在地中，复；先王以至日闭关，商旅不行，后不省方。
